Installing a Mini Split at a Commercial Building.

In today’s episode, we had the opportunity to install a disconnect for a mini-split. When working with multiple trades on a small job like this, it’s important to keep communication open. Knowing what the HVAC tech will need as far as space and height will give us a good idea where to mount our disconnect. You will also note that we used a selection of conduit bodies in this run. As mentioned in the video, these conduit bodies are not designed to accommodate splices. There are some that do allow for splices and taps; the manufacturer is required to permanently print the cubic area on the conduit body, junction box, and pull box. Another important aspect to keep in mind is the type of wire being pulled through our conduit. We know W in conductor description means wet or damp location permitted.
